Dear Friends of Rescue:

Thank you so very much for the support you've give us, especially in the past few months. We have finally gotten our heads above water, and are able to once again take dogs in, albeit on a very limited scale. It was through your financial support that we made it through a very difficult summer. And through your financial support that we have managed to save the eyesight of a sweet girl who was bred to the point that she still wanders in circles and a puppy with parvo who almost didn't make it.

The need for our services has escalated far beyond our limited capabilities. Far too often we have been used as a convenient place to "dump" a no longer wanted burden. And then there is the reality that Rescue quickly becomes forgotten by the majority of adopters once their newly adopted rescue dog settles into their home. No one, it seems, remembers the ones that are left... still waiting... and still needing to come into rescue.

What do we need? Well, more foster homes, of course. But we know that not everyone can, will or should foster. Is there another way? Yes, definitely! If each family who has adopted one of our dogs would commit to sending us even $5 a month, then the dogs who continue to need our help would not be facing a death sentence instead of the safety of Rescue. Just $5 a month would give Rescue a financial base from which to pull in times of crisis. With these funds we would be able to provide boarding for the over-load of incoming dogs that suddenly never seems to end... a place to care for them until we can move the dogs already in Rescue, and open up room in foster care for the new ones. This could literally be the difference between life and death, for these dogs.

Looking back over the last 15 years in Rescue, we can only count a few dozen people who regularly remember and support the dogs we have now and the dogs waiting to be saved. Don't forget us once you have adopted your dog and no longer need us. We still need you. If we can't go on, who will be there for the ones yet to come?

Please pledge your support now to help save the lives of the ones who need us right now! Provide Rescue with the means to continue caring for the discarded, abused and neglected Boston Terriers in the State of Florida. If you pay your bills online, set us up as an automatic monthly payment. All we ask is $5 per month, and that could make a huge difference in the lives of Rescue dogs. Remember, it could just as easily have been your rescue dog that fell through the cracks if we weren't there when help was needed.

We cannot do it alone! And until the day comes when we realize our dream of purchasing a place where every Boston in danger has a safe place to come to, we depend on your help. Foster if you can, but if you can't, please send us enough financial support that we don't have to say "NO" and watch a dog die because we have no more room and there just is no other place for it to go!

Sincerely,

Belinda Kolenbrander, President
